Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech - Imlil Valley

After a leisurely breakfast in your hotel or riad, our driver will pick you up and drive you up into the High Atlas Mountains, passing through Tahnaout and Asni where you can enjoy the spectacular views of all the villages in the valley. After a 65km and a 1.5 hour drive you will arrive in Imlil (1740metres) to be met by your guide and muleteer.

here, after a welcome pot of mint tea in a nice traditional riad which will be your home for the next 2 nights, you will then start your 4 hour walk  to the waterfalls and back, passing through a number of berber villages on the way. En route you will get an amazing view of Mount Toubkal. At 4167m, it is the highest mountain in North Africa.

Day 2Imlil Valley - Imnane Valley - Imlil Valley

After a hearty breakfast at 8.00, your days walking will begin. You will head up to Tizi N Tamatert (2300metres) along some trails through the pine forests. From the top you can enjoy the wonderful view down into the Imnane valley with a well deserved mint tea break. The route then continues through Tinerhourine village, crossing the Imnan River, and onwards through Ikkis village where you will have lunch by the river. You will return to Imlil via the Tizi n Aguersioual pass (2000metres), taking around 2.5 hours hours and then a further 1.5 hours back to your riad in Imlil.

6-7 hours walking total.

Day 3Imlil - Tizi Mzik - Tasghimout plateau (2700) - Imlil

After breakfast, you will begin the  2.5hour walk up to Tizi MZik (2400m) where a pot of tea will be waiting for you. After a further 30minutes walk we will get to the Taghimout Plateau where there will be ample time to take in the amazing view down to Marrakech and the Azzaden Valley. We will have lunch back at Tizi Mzik before the walk down to Imlil where you can have a hammam (a traditional moroccan steam bath) before your last special dinner at the riad.

5-6 hours walking total.

Day 4Imlil - Marrakech

After breakfast your taxi will take you back to either a riad in Marrakech or the airport.

What sort of Experience do your guides have?

All our guides are locals and all registered with Minister of tourisme , they are all certified by the only guide training center in Morocco which is Centre de Formation aux Metiers de Montagne, they all speak English, French, Spanish and German.

How do we make payment?

We require a 30% deposit to secure the booking, and the rest can be paid in person. Payments can be made online while booking (Paypal or Card), via western union, or via bank transfer. Information about online payment and your booking can be found in your dashboard on the top right after logging in.
