The 3 day sahara desert tour from Marrakech to Fes is one of the most popular desert tours from Marrakech that connects the two imperial cities. The awesome tour lets you discover a big part of the south of Morocco, departing from the ocher city of Marrakech towards the Atlas mountains and crossing beautiful scenery on the curvy roads and perched berber villages blending with the mountains, to the infamous kasbahs of Ait benhaddou fortified village and Ouarzazate with its cinematic attractions, spending the first night in the heart of the dades gorges in a traditional but comfy hotel. The second day lets you enjoy a short walk in the todra immense gorges before heading towards Merzouga in a more arid plains announcing the beginning of the deserts.

Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades

Departure this 3 days desert trip from Marrakech to Fes, you cross the Tizi N Tichka, High Atlas Mountains pass, to the village of Ait ben Haddou for a guided tour of the Kasbah. It is listed under UNESCO World Heritage Site, a spectacular fortified village (Ksar). Afterwards, we will ahead to dades valley via the desert gateway city of Ouarzazate or Moroccan Hollywood, and palm trees in the palmeraie of Skoura.

Day 2Dades - Toudgha Gorges - Merzouga - Overnight Stay with Camel Ride

Visit the dades valley and Tinerhir to see Todra Gorges, the highest gorge in Morocco just 20 meters wide and over 300 meters high to do a hiking for 20 min. Todgha Gorge is a canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains and is famous by Rock Climbing in Morocco. Continue, the 3 Days desert trip to arrive at the edge of the dunes of Merzouga. Later, you will ride camel crossing Erg chebbi dunes, with a camel guide, and sleep in a nomadic tent in the camp. Enjoy an overnight stay under the stars, experience real desert and music.

Day 3Merzouga to Fes via Ziz Valley and Cedar Forest

Wake early, to see the sunrise and ride camel back to the Hotel or Guest House for breakfast and Shower. Next, we keep driving this 3 Days desert trip via the Ziz Valley or Gorges and cedar forest where Barbary Monkeys live – this is an interesting route with a stop for lunch in Midlet. Drop off at your accommodation Riad/Hotel in Fes which is founded by Moulay Idriss I in 789, is a World Heritage Site.

All our guides are locals and all registered with Minister of tourisme , they are all certified by the only guide training center in Morocco which is Centre de Formation aux Metiers de Montagne, they all speak English, French, Spanish and German.

How do we make payment?

We require a 30% deposit to secure the booking, and the rest can be paid in person. Payments can be made online while booking (Paypal or Card), via western union, or via bank transfer.
