  • Duration: 8 Days / 7 Nights
  • Category: Walking & Trekking Tours
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • Pickup: Marrakech
Explore Morocco’s most stunning high altitude destination – the central High Atlas of Morocco. In seven days we will cross the barrier of the Atlas. Starting from the north we make our way down to the south summiting the second highest mountain in the Atlas, M’Goun before descending into its famous gorge.

Your guided trek, starting in the stuuning Ait Bougemez valley follows a high circuit around the Central Atlas. The combination of the rugged high mountains and friendly welcome from the indigenous berbers whose traditional way of life has changed very little over time will leave you with unforgettable memories, an incredible experience.

The M’goun Mountain 4068m, is located in the central part of the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco . The Mgoun summit consists of a long ridge that approach or exceed the 4000 meters over a distance of five kilometers. In fact this is a ridge anticline .

The rock to the surface, is a limestone disk. Its northern side has been sculpted by glaciers during the ice ages of the Quaternary so that today there are fourteen valleys aligned perpendicular to the ridge. The Ighil Mgoun is a deservedly popular destination for hikers and trekkers alike.
