Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Marrakech

We leave Marrakech early to start our Morocco tour and drive through Moulay Brahim to the foothills of the western High Atlas mountains. Here we start at Imi Oughlad (1450m). The mighty peaks of Jebel Toubkal, at 4167m the highest peak in north africa, Aglzim 3650m and Aksoual 38847m  surround us. This is where we meet our muleteer and set off for a two hour hike to Tizi n Tachete. You’ll be on a track winding through pine and juniper trees.

We will have a chance to see the local agriculture. At Tizi n Tachete you can look down on the Imlil and Ait Oussaden valleys. Then we walk on a short way before stopping for lunch. After the picnic it is about another 2 and half hours south-west to the traditional red clay terraced village of Tiziane (1750 m)where we spend the night.

Day 2Marrakech – Azilal – Ait Bougmez

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Ait Bougmez Valley, passing through the scenic Tizi-n-Test pass and the town of Azilal. We’ll arrive in the valley in the afternoon and settle into our accommodations before enjoying a traditional Berber dinner.

Day 3Arrous – Ait Imi

Today we’ll begin our trekking adventure with a 5-hour hike to the village of Ait Imi, passing through the stunning Arrous Valley along the way. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in a beautiful spot with views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Day 4Ait Imi Spring – Adazen Pass – Ifran Village

We’ll start the day with a 6-hour hike to the Adazen Pass, which offers panoramic views of the valley below. We’ll then descend to the traditional Berber village of Ifran, where we’ll stay for the night.
